A short post here on how to plan for a baby girl to share on the timing method when planning for a baby girl.

Most parents have no inclination to either a baby boy or girl for their first child, however they may have preferences when planning for the second baby onwards. Therefore they try different methods to help increase the chances of conceiving a child.

Some of these methods are simply urban legends and there is no scientific reason why it should work, however, many women would swear by them. One effective method on planning to conceive a baby girl are on the basis of timing.

The Shettles method is one of the most popular methods used for selection of their baby’s gender. This method is based on the different characteristics of the sperm carrying the male and female chromosomes. Female sperm live longer than male sperm so it is recommended that the couple has sex every day at least two to four days before ovulation to increase their chances of conceiving a girl.

There are many other methods used on how to plan for a baby girl to consider which include diets and best positions during intercourse. The Chinese calendar planning is a popular method that takes the lunar age of women and compare them with the lunar month of conception to predict whether the child will be a woman.
